young people who recognise their potential and grow their dreams for the future, can set personal career goals, and know what steps they need to pursue these goals so that they can become productive members of our community.

We work with the youth in the surrounding areas of Gugulethu and Manenberg with a special focus on those who are orphaned, or whose families are ravaged by substance abuse, or who face despairing poverty.
Weekly Support Groups – provides emotional support, life-skills development and mentorship.
Weekly Computer Club - provides young people with access to information technology required to completed projects for school, research and apply for tertiary studies and financial support, as well as research and apply for employment.
Monthly Home visits – providing emotional support to the young people in the programme
Quarterly Recreational Outings - provide children with relief from the many social and emotional problems with which they have to cope, as well as broadening their horizons there by giving them the a reason to have hope and motivation for the future
Annual week-long holiday programme keeping young people off the streets and away from the lure of crime, drugs and unprotected sex, with an entertaining, educational and engaging programme.
Annual Camp – provides life skills training in a fun environment
Annual Career Information Expo - this exciting, one-day event connects 1500 local youth from 9 surrounding high schools to relevant stakeholders and institutions for post school study, as well as exposes them to inspiring speakers in order to motivate them not to give up and to pursue tertiary education.
Nutritional support – Food packs are available to those families in dire need. These are temporary gifts to assist during a time of great need or crisis. A partnership has been built with the FOOD BANK who provide a warm daily meal on the Khanyisa Community Church premises, and this supports many of our Izandla Zethemba beneficiaries.
