We support orphans, children who are HIV positive as well as children whose parents are HIV positive.
Weekly Support Groups – provides psychosocial support to orphans and vulnerable children thereby helping them come to terms with their status and build their self esteem and ability to positively engage with others.
Monthly Recreational Outings - provide children with relief from the many social and emotional problems with which they have to cope, as well as broadening their horizons there by giving them the a reason to have hope and motivation for the future
Monthly Home visits – providing emotional support to the children in the programme
Annual Camp – provides life skills training in a fun environment
Weekly Home Work Club - provides a safe and nurturing environment two afternoons a week where homework assistance is provided.
Nutritional support – Food packs are available to those families in dire need. These are temporary gifts to assist during a time of great need or crisis. A partnership has been built with the FOOD BANK who provide a warm daily meal on the Khanyisa Community Church premises, and this supports many of our Izandla Zethemba beneficiaries.
